NRI Donates Medical Equipment To Kothagudem District Hospital

Mrudula Naveen, a non-resident Indian (NRI) based in the United States, has donated medical equipment to the Kothagudem Government District hospital in Telangana to treat the Covid-19 patients.

Dr Vijay Kumar, the IMA representative, handed over the equipment to district collector MV Reddy during a programme organised at the hospital on May 20. Under the supervision of the Chirag Foundation, located in the US, the NRI Mrudula Naveen donated the equipment worth Rs 12 lakh, including 10 ICU beds, 50 wrist oximeters, to the hospital.

The collector at the event praised the NRI for her voluntarily donation. The Telangana government has made efforts to improve medical facilities at all state hospitals in the district to offer qualitative treatment to the poorer wards.

Superintendent of the District Headquarters Hospital, Dr M Mukkanteswara Rao, Additional collector, Anudeep D, DM and HO, Dr JVL Sirisha, Dr Ravi Babu and others attended the event as well.
