Kerala Nurse, Son Dead In A Road Accident In Australia

Two Keralites hailing from Thrissur district have died in a road accident at Tumba, a town in Australia’s New South Wales province. The five-member family was travelling to Brisbane in Queensland.   

The car-truck collision on Thursday claimed the lives of two. The deceased are identified- Lotsy (35) and her two years old youngest son.  

Lotsy’s husband Bibin and two elder children have been injured in the accident and later shifted to the hospital. Though Bibin’s condition is stable, the children are reportedly serious and now battling for life in the ICU.  

Lotsy had been working as a nurse at a hospital in Orange, New South Wales. And the family has been shifting to Brisbane as Lotsy was about to join at a hospital there.   

The family hails from Chalakudy in the thrissur district of Kerala.  

The small town of Tumbarumba, where the accident occurred, is referred to as Tumba by the locals. It is about 480 km south of the provincial capital Sydney.
