A popular actor and the winner of the 13th edition of the Big Boss show Sidharth Shukla passed away after suffering a massive heart attack in Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital on Thursday, September 2. The 40-year-old Shukla was a popular face on television and made his Bollywood debut with ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ in a supporting role. As soon as the news of his death surfaced, a lot of celebrities and his fans flooded Twitter with condolence messages.
Sidharth Shukla is survived by his mother and two sisters. “He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago,” a senior Cooper Hospital official confirmed.
Shukla climbed up the popularity charts after his stint with the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 13. He won that season and later made a short appearance on Bigg Boss 14 as well. Shukla’s last acted in a web series titled Broken But Beautiful 3.
His untimely demise has sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry. After hearing the unfortunate news, a number of celebrities and colleagues of Shukla took to social media to pay their tributes.
Sidharth Shukla began his career in showbiz as a model and made his acting debut with a lead role in the television show ‘Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na’. He later appeared on shows such as ‘Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi,’ ‘Love U Zindagi’ but became a popular star with ‘Balika Vadhu’. He also participated in the reality shows such as ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6,’ ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7’ and ‘Bigg Boss 13’.
