IUJ Offers Exciting Opportunities To Study In Japan

International University of Japan (IUJ) was founded in 1982 with the extensive support of Japan’s industrial, educational and local communities to train professionals who can actively make contributions to the international society with a high level of interdisciplinary and specialized knowledge. The International University of Japan is a private autonomous university that was the first to offer post-graduate programmes in English. 

The Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR) at the International University of Japan was established in 1982 to develop global leaders in the 21st Century. GSIR addresses global issues in the public sector and many excellent alumni have emerged from it. In September 2005, the International Peace Studies Programme was launched, and GSIR now offers the following three two-year Master’s Degree programmes and a one-year master’s in International Public policy to be offered in the 2022 academic year. 

Available Programmes: 

  1. International Peace Studies Program takes on global issues such as armed conflicts and peacebuilding, poverty reduction and development, destruction of the environment and sustainable development, gender discrimination, and all other issues related to “human security” 
  1. International Development Programme prepares professionals to tackle development issues through solid expertise, practical skills and scientific theories toward a peaceful and environmentally-friendly, poverty-free international community 
  1. International Relations Programme is intended to educate effective global leaders in various fields of today’s global society with a deep and multi-disciplinary understanding of politics, economy and primary societal trends as well as cultural and historical backgrounds 
  1. The International Public Policy Programme is a one-year mid-career programme, designed for diplomats and government officials of countries in Asia, the Pacific and around the world 

Eligibility 

The university looks for dynamic individuals with excellent academic performance, who can become a member of the multinational and multicultural IUJ community with an interest in understanding different cultures, and a drive to actively communicate with others and a desire to create a worldwide network. 

It is necessary to have a 4 years bachelor’s degree. The candidates with 3 years bachelor’s degree will be considered based on their academic performance. The candidates must be proficient in English, certified by TOEFL, IELTS or TOIC scores. Students from native English-speaking countries will be exempted from the test scores.
