Global Future Scholarship By University of Manchester Is Apt For Impoverished Students 

The University of Manchester offers over 1,000-degree programmes across the disciplines of humanities, business, science and engineering. These programmes include foundation courses, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, PhDs and MBAs. Ranked 27th in the world according to the QS World University Rankings® 2021, the University of Manchester is a prestigious red brick university and is also a member of the Russell Group: a select network of leading research-intensive universities in the UK.  

The University is investing £1 billion over 10 years into its campus and facilities to help sustain its incredible history of innovation. It comprises 25 Nobel Prize winners among its current and former students and staff. Making up to 25% of the student population, The University of Manchester has the highest percentage of international students in the UK; as many as 180 nationalities are represented on campus. 

Its Global Future Scholarship’s goal is to assist talented but financially challenged students from some of the world’s poorest countries in pursuing a bachelor’s or a master’s degree at Manchester. Under this scholarship programme, the University of Manchester offers awards totalling more than £1.7 million to international students, commencing their studies in September 2022.  

Eligibility Criteria 

Undergraduate Courses: 

Candidates must have high school diplomas and an outstanding educational record. 

Applicants will be evaluated on their academic merit as well as the quality of their scholarship application. 

The award is not open to applicants pursuing bachelor’s degrees in medicine, dentistry (BDS), or architecture. 

By June 10, 2021, applicants must have selected The University of Manchester as their corporate or insurance UCAS choice. 

Postgraduate Courses 

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline and an outstanding educational record. 

Applicants must be seeking direct first-year admission into a master’s degree at the University of Manchester. 

Applicants will be evaluated on their academic merit as well as the quality of their scholarship application. 

The award is not open to MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), Master of Architecture and Urbanism (MA), Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine, and Dentistry students. 

By June 10, 2021, applicants must have selected The University of Manchester as their corporate or insurance UCAS choice.

Funding Details  

£300,000 (3,00,00,000 INR ) will be given to international students commencing their studies in September 2021.
