Earthquake Hits Afghanistan-Tajikistan Border: Tremors Felt In J&K, Parts Of Delhi  

On Saturday morning, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake with its epicentre at the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. The tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, and nearby areas.   

According to the National Center for Seismology, India’s nodal agency for monitoring earthquakes, the quake occurred at 9.45 am.  

There are no causalities yet. News 18 said that the residents of Jammu and Kashmir reported damage to the spire of the shrine at Charar-e-Sharif in Budgam district. However, the authorities have not issued any statement about the damage.
