All You Need To Know About University of Birmingham’s Global Masters Scholarship 

The University of Birmingham happens to be a public research university located in Edgbaston, Birmingham, the United Kingdom. Established through the royal charter in 1900, the University has quickly grown to be one of the best destinations for international students pursuing post-graduate studies. With an excellent student-faculty ratio of 1:9, Birmingham University was ranked 79th in the world by QS World Rankings, and also ranks among the top 50 universities in several subjects such as Development Studies(36th), English Language and Literature (34th) and Dentistry (13th) among others.

In keeping with this tradition, the university is launching the Global Masters Scholarship to attract and support the most academically talented international students from across the world to Master’s degrees during the 2022/23 academic year. 

Funding Details 

Approximately 40 scholarships will be awarded a value of up to £10,000 GBP. This award will be deducted from the total tuition fees owed by each successful scholar. 

Eligibility 

All Master’s programmes are eligible for this scholarship, with the exception of programmes in the Birmingham Business School, for which there are separate MSc and MBA scholarships on offer.  

In order to be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements: 

He/She must have received, and accepted, an offer of admission for a taught Master’s degree at the University of Birmingham UK Campus to study in the 2022/23 academic year. 

He/She be classed as ‘domiciled’ in one of the eligible countries. 

He/She be classified by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes. 

He/She must start their studies at the University in September/ October 2022 on a course delivered on-campus. 

He/She must have paid the standard £2,000 Admissions deposit by 30 June 2022. 

He/She must be academically exceptional and able to provide evidence for this in the scholarship application statement. They should have or be expecting to achieve, a first-class overall grade (at least 70% in the UK system) in a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 

How to apply 

This is a competitive scholarship and candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements outlined above, and have been issued and accepted an offer of admission to a Master’s degree at Birmingham, are welcome to apply for this scholarship by completing the online scholarship application form, here
