With recent advancements and need, Pharmacy has emerged as the best alternative to medicine courses. As per World Health Organisation (WHO), there are approximately 2.6 million pharmacists and other pharmaceutical personnel all over the world. India’s pharmaceutical industry is also growing rapidly and is ranked among the top pharmacy exporters. Keeping this in mind, here are some of the most sought pharmacy entrance exams at the diploma, undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Admission to the Pharmacy is mainly granted based on the centralised process after the entrance exams.
Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)
Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, commonly known as GPAT is a national level entrance exam conducted for granting M. Pharma or its equivalent courses admission, across the country. At present there are 39,670 seats offered by more than 782 institutes. The exam is conducted in January via computer-based mode.
NIPER JEE
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Examination, commonly known as NIPER JEE, is conducted to grant admissions to Masters in Pharmacy (M.Pharm) and Ph.D. programs in Pharmacy. Through the NIPER JEE entrance exam, admission to 820 seats will be granted in Masters in Pharmacy (M.Pharm), Masters of Science (MS Pharm), Masters of Technology (M.Tech Pharm), and Ph. D courses in NIPER institutes located in Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hajipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Raebareli, and SAS Nagar.
NMIMS NPAT
NarseeMonjee Institute of Management Studies, commonly known as NMIMS, is conducted for granting admission to the NMIMS NPAT for B.Pharm + MBA (Pharma. Tech).Admisions will be granted into NPAT institutes offered or located in Mumbai, Shipur and Hyderabad.
TS PGCET
A state-level examination regulated by Osmania University for admission to post graduate courses in Pharmacy, engineering and many other fields.
MH CET
It is a common entrance test conducted for providing admissions in health science degree, engineering, technology and pharma courses.
RUHS Pharmacy
The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences Pharmacy commonly known as RUHS Pharmacy is conducted for granting admissions to B. Pharm and D. Pharm courses respectively
CG PPHT
Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test, commonly known as CG PPHT, is conducted for granting admission to Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharma) and Doctor of Pharmacy (D.Pharma)..
UKSEE Pharmacy
Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination for Pharmacy or UKSEE Pharmacy is conducted to offer admission to undergraduate Pharmacy courses (B.Pharm) and Postgraduate Pharmacy courses (M.Pharm) in the institutions affiliated to UKTU.
