Malayalam superstars Mammootty And Mohanlal received Golden Visas from the United Arab Emirates government, allowing them long-term residence. The visa was handed over to them on August 23. Golden Visas are long-term residency visas simplifying the process of naturalisation in most countries.
Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, greeted the stars and presented them with the Golden Visa. The duo arrived at the office with Lulu Group Chairman MA Yusuff Ali to receive their visas. They both thanked MA Yusuff Ali for his efforts in facilitating the Golden Visa.
Both the actors took to their social media handles on Monday evening to share photos of themselves along with the visa.

Sharing a photo on Twitter, Mammootty wrote, “My sincere gratitude to H E Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi for my UAE Golden Visa ! Many thanks to my brother Yusuff Ali M.A for helping make this happen,” while Mohanlal also shared a photo, expressing his gratitude.
“My grateful thanks to H E Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi for bestowing upon me the Golden Visa for the UAE. Am indeed honoured. My gratitude also goes out to Mr. Yusuff Ali M.A for facilitating this,” wrote Mohanlal along with an image of him receiving the honour.
Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt had received golden visas. Many Indian businessmen and doctors have previously received Golden Visas. Tennis star Sania Mirza has also been awarded Golden Visa.
