Veteran legendary actor Nedumudi Venu passed away in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. The 73-year-old actor was under treatment at a private hospital.
The actor had recovered from Covid-19 infection and he was admitted to a hospital on Sunday after developing uneasiness.
Kesavan Venugopal, known by his stage name Nedumudi Venu amused the cinephiles with his exceptional performances in commercial and art cinema, has acted in over 500 films, predominantly in Malayalam.
Nedumudi Venu, one of the tallest actors in Malayalam Cinema, started his career as a journalist. His passion for acting landed him on the silver screen and worked in more than 500 films. He bagged three National Film Awards and six Kerala State Film Awards for his various performances.
Several actors and politicians took to social media to offer condolences.
