TVS Motor Company has launched the NTorq 125 Race XP edition in India at Rs 83,275 (ex-showroom price). This special edition of TVS NTorq is a refurbished version of the old NTorq125. Although this Race XP variant has got 10.06 horsepower @7000 rpm, it still carries the same 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine with some mechanical enhancements.
The two-wheeler manufacturer claims that the engine’s gas flow dynamics and combustion process have been improved. Subsequently, the special edition model is able to make 0.81 bhp, which is more than its standard counterpart. Additionally, TVS NTorq125 Race XP offers the Race Tuned Fuel Injection engine that churns out 10.8 Nm at 5,500 rotations per minute torque.

With the dual rising mode, including Race mode, TVS’s flagship scooter picks up to 98 kmph on highways. Its Street Mode offers riders the facility to navigate the city and its traffic conditions with ease. To switch between two modes smoothly, it has included a ‘voice assist’ feature that responds to 15 different voice commands ranging from navigation, DnD, switching riding modes etc. on the scooter.
The company has used an innovative Bluetooth-enabled technology in the TVS NTorq125 Race XP called SmartXonnect that can be paired with an exclusive TVS Connect mobile app. By upgrading the graphical representation of performance criteria in the app’s Bike overview section, it has been endowed with the capacity to save addresses and navigate regular routes of riders.
With the new tri-tone colour scheme, it has a vibrant exterior now. TVS NTorq125 Race XP embodies a signature headlamp and LED tail lamps. It has also got a pair of sporty red wheels, making it look more stylish. The Race XP model weighs 116kg, which is 2 kg lighter than the NTorq base model.
Whereas the disc and drum variant of regular NTorq are available in the market at Rs 75,395 and Rs 71,095 (ex-showroom), respectively, the Race edition and Super Squad editions have been priced at Rs 78,375 and Rs 81,075 respectively.
