After a long wait, the teaser of Kabir Khan’s highly-awaited film 83 was released on Friday morning. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone starrer movie will hit the theatres on December 24. The film was earlier scheduled to release on April 10, 2020, but the release got delayed due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Making the big announcement on Instagram, Ranveer shared a 59-second video and wrote that the film’s trailer will be out on November 30. He wrote, “The greatest Story. The greatest Glory. 83 RELEASING IN CINEMAS ON 24TH DEC, 2021, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Teaser out now. Trailer out on 30th Nov. #ThisIs83.”
The story is based on the Indian cricket team’s 1983 World Cup victory. Ranveer Singh plays the role of Kapil Dev, who was the captain of the World Cup-winning team. Deepika will essay the role of Ranveer’s wife. The film has been directed by Kabir Khan.
