As football fanatics brace for the 2022 World Cup to kick off in less than 4 months there have been a lot of speculations regarding the young talents from various countries. The likes of Thomas Muller, Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe etc have already made rapid strides in the quadrennial events at a very young age. Now, the spotlight will be on certain young guns who are believed to make it count this year in Qatar. So, let us look into some promising youngsters who will be keenly observed this time.
Antony (Brazil)
It is not easy to leave a mark in a team comprising of a superstar like Neymar, but this exciting winger, currently playing for Ajax, has done exactly the same. The youngster has immense quality at his disposal to set up other attackers and net himself as well. He scored 12 times for Ajax last season in 33 appearances and for his national team, he has found the net twice and provided 10 assists in 9 games. He will definitely be in the scheme of things of Luiz Felipe Scolari this time and surprise his opponents with left-footed magic.
Aurelien Tchouameni (France)
This young French will be watched closely this time following his high-profile transfer to Real Madrid recently. As a defensive fielder, he has played integral parts in La Liga for teams such as Bordeaux and Monaco. In defensive scenarios, he is the best one to have as he has the uncanny knack for acting as per situations. This does not mean that he can’t score goals. He can find the net at any given point in time and he has scored three goals in 35 appearances in the last season. So, it would be interesting to see how he complements the efforts of Mbappe and Pogba at Qatar this November.
Jude Bellingham (England)
This young lad is just 19 but he has already established himself as one of the most dependable mid-fielders across the globe. What sets him apart at such a young age is his ability to complement the attacking strategy of the team efficiently. Playing for Borussia Dortmund he has found the net six times and given 14 assists in 43 appearances last season. It is almost certain that Gareth Southgate would have envisioned ways to utilize him in the playing XI and it would be interesting to see how he gels with Kalvin Philipps and Mason Mount.
Jamal Musiala (Germany)
This 19-year-old, playing for Bayern Munich currently, is another promising talent to watch out for this time during the showpiece event in Qatar. In 40 appearances last season, this teenager scored eight goals and provided six assists. He has been impressing everyone with some scintillating performances in the League circuit for a while. Even nationally, he has had 15 appearances till now and everyone will be keen to watch how he performs at the marquee event for Germany.
