The Quarter Finals of FIFA World Cup 2022 are all set to begin on December 9 and the teams that have reached the crucial stage are eagerly awaiting the moment to unfold. The scenario of experimentation is over now as every outfit has to bring in their best men to do the job in the critical part of the tournament. Some players have got sufficient time to prove their worth but some have been not so lucky. So, today we will go through three players who deserve more match time.
Diogo Dalot (Portugal)
The Man United right-back has been impressive in the limited playing time he got in Qatar thus far. Dalot has provided two assists in two outings so far and looked at home on both sides of the pitch. These qualities stress that Dalot should be an automatic starter for Portugal if the team has to proceed further in the tournament. However, for this, the team manager Fernando Santos has to bite the bullet. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Dalot.
Eduardo Camavinga (France)
He was touted to play an integral part in the French campaign at Qatar but he has only made one appearance so far. He featured in the game against Tunisia in a position he is not very familiar with yet he managed to impress. Overall, he succeeded in 18 duels and 5 fouls in the game. Considering these accomplishments in minimal playing time, it won’t be wrong to suggest that he deserves more game time as France brace for some do-or-die battles ahead.
Marcus Rashford (England)
The English team has been facing the problem of plenty in the 2022 football carnival. In the process, some of their brilliant players have not got much time in Qatar this time. One such person happens to be Marcus Rashford, starting only once in England’s four fixtures thus far. Despite coming to the field in three games Rashford managed to find the net thrice in the marquee event. His exemplary dribbling skills and goal-scoring abilities make him the player his national team should accommodate at any cost. However, Gareth Southgate thinks otherwise and his priority lies elsewhere. Going by Rashford’s ability to conjure up magic in quick time he should ideally get more game time in upcoming matches of England.
