PUBG: New State pre-registration has gone live in India on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, announced Krafton. The comeback has been marked after a year since PUBG Mobile India had been banned in the country.
According to the App Store page for the upcoming game, the PUBG: New State is expected to be released on October 8, 2021.
The announcement comes two months after two months earlier, the South Korean company launched Battlegrounds Mobile India, the desi version of PUBG Mobile. This move had come after the Indian government had banned PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile in India a year ago, along with about 200 other China-linked apps citing they may pose a threat to the safety and security of the country.
The Indian pre-registration for PUBG: New State comes piggybacking on the “great excitement” that Indian players showed for the international pre-registration, stated Krafton. Though the PUBG: New State had gone up for pre-registration worldwide earlier this year, India, China and Vietnam, were not a part of the rollout.
“Knowing that PUBG IP from Krafton is enjoying countrywide popularity in India and our Indian fans have high interest in the launch of PUBG: New State in India, we at PUBG Studios are doing our best to offer a battle royale experience only we can deliver based on the stable service for our Indian fans,” said Minkyu Park, executive producer for PUBG: New State.
You can go to the Google Play Store on Android and App Store on iPhone to pre-register for Krafton’s PUBG: New State.
