The NRI Festival and Sports Mahotsav, which is being organized by Rejoice Health Foundation as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations, has received all necessary permits to use the Indian Government’s ‘Incredible India,’ ‘AKAM,’ and ‘Fit India’ logos during the six-month event, for which Power Sportz will be the media partner.
The NRI Festival will take place from July to December this year and will feature a variety of sports, health, fitness and culture events, with Power Sportz, the world’s first live digital sports channel based in India, providing global coverage.
Between July 1 and December 31, the NRI Festival will take place in Delhi/NCR, Goa, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab.
This festival, which will focus on the enormous 32 million Indian diasporas residing in various parts of the world, will include on-ground events incorporating diaspora involvement in all activities, as well as NRI communities as spectators at various events.
One of the main challenges was obtaining permission from the Government of India to be associated with the NRI Festival, and the permissions came through smoothly, with the Culture Ministry approving the use of its ‘AKAM’ logo, the Tourism Ministry approving the use of the ‘Incredible India’ logo, and the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry eager to assist by granting the rights to use its signature ‘Fit India’ campaign logo.
Power Sportz TV is an ideal media partner for a festival of this size due to its worldwide reach since its digital platform attracts people from all over the world. It’s also free to watch on all apps, the web and Amazon Fire TV, and follows the Rejoice Organization’s mission of “being a non-profit foundation,” according to Dr. Naval Kumar Verma, head of the Rejoice Health Foundation.
“Focusing on the Indian diaspora has been part of our vision plan as we have many of the youth diasporas in touch with us, primarily wanting to know how they can be a part of sports activities like cricket, football, kabaddi, etc.” Kanthi D. Suresh, Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of Power Sportz TV said on Friday, “Focusing on the Indian diaspora has been part of our vision plan.
“We’re delighted to be playing such an essential role here,” Kanthi D. Suresh stated.
In a previous interview with IANS, she stated that she is working on a Global Power Sports League, with a focus on the enormous Indian diaspora communities. “We are relieved that all of this is now taking place in India,” Kanthi D. added.
While the NRI Festival is set to begin in the first week of July, the festival’s specifics will be released to various NRI Cell heads in India and throughout the world in due time.
According to reports, Rejoice Foundation and Power Sportz TV are working together to choose the venues and locations for the events.
As part of the campaign to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence, the Central Government instructed the print, electronic and digital media to show the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ emblem in October 2021.
“India’s patriotic spirit and national successes have long been championed by the private media. The emblem should be used during the celebrations to remind citizens of India’s rich heritage and dedication to a bright future,” according to the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
On a recent visit to Denmark, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India’s tourism sector has to be revitalized and that in a few years, there would be only one destination: ‘Chalo India.’ He referred to the Indian diaspora as India’s ambassadors in their home countries, urging them to bring at least five non-Indian friends to India.
The NRI Festival will guarantee that the message of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ reaches not just the Indian diaspora, but also other nations interested in forming strong bonds with Indian communities throughout the world.
