Malayalam superstar Mammootty is celebrating his 70th birthday today, September 7. Super stars Mohanlal, Kamal Haasan, Prithviraj, Manju Warrier and several other celebrities took to social media to wish him.

In a video, Kamal Haasan said, he couldn’t believe that Mammootty is turning 70. He thought that Mammootty would be of his age or younger.
Superstar Mohanlal posted a video on Twitter in which he referred to Mammooty as Ichakka (brother). Apart from wishing him on his birthday, Mohanlal said that he hadn’t seen an actor of Mammootty’s caliber in the world.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is close with Mammootty and family, shared, “I don’t have a better photo..coz we always forget to take one on those biriyaani and black tea afternoons. But you have no idea how much you mean to me like you do to a zillion other dreamers and aspirants. And more than anything else, thank you for Chaalu and Surmi chechi! I love you..the world loves you! Happy birthday Ikka!”
Manju Warrier extended wishes and penned, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMMOOKKA!!!

In August this year, Mammootty had completed 50 years in the Malayalam film industry. His colleagues celebrated him and his achievements on social media.
Mammootty made his debut in films in 1971 with Anubhavangal Paalichakal. The actor par excellence has acted in over 400 films across multiple languages. He was last seen in the Malayalam horror film The Priest.
On the work front, Mammootty has been waiting for the release of Bheeshma Parvam. He is currently shooting for Puzhu with Parvathy.
