The second-generation KTM RC 200 has arrived earlier than expected in India immediate after its global debut. It packs a radical new design, updated chassis, and some weight reduction. Let’s find out the 2022 KTM RC 200’s upgrades and specifications.

The RC 200 2022 gets a similar BS-VI engine to the previous model. The liquid-cooled single-pot still produces 25PS at 10,000rpm and 19.2NM at 8,000rpm with the manual 6-speed gearbox. The up-front of the 2022 KTM RC 200 features a new headlamp unit, with the complete change in h housing and the lights setup. It gets a bigger windscreen, new LED lights with vertically integrated indicator lights.

The wheels are lightweight and coupled with a 20mm increased front disc size. However, the kerb weight remains the same, which is 160 kg and stays the same with a power to weight ratio of 154 bhp/tonne. The weight savings have reduced the unsprung mass of the new bike overall, which makes the second-gen RC 200 feel slightly more agile in comparison.

The WP Apex front fork suspension unit now gets 10mm more of travel. The curved radiator and all new side panels are designed to dissipate heat a lot better than before. the RC 200 comes with Supermoto ABS, which is KTM’s dual-channel ABS that allows switching off the ABS of the rear wheel.

The LCD Instrument cluster is lifted from the KTM 250 Adventure. Riders will find the Bluetooth connectivity here. The gen-2 RC 200 gets a bigger airbox that provides healthier mid-range torque delivery. The biggest catch of this new model is its new seats that are finished in Alcantara-like material with double-padded foam, and it immediately makes the RC more comfortable to ride.

The company has made it available in the market at Rs 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
