KTM launches new Duke250 Adventure for off-road lovers

KTM launches a new bike, KTM 250 Adventure, after the 390 Adventure. The KTM 250 Adventure has a showroom price of Rs.2,48,256 in Delhi. KTM showrooms across the country have started accepting bookings for the new bike. KTM has introduced the ‘250 Adventure ‘, which aims to capitalize on the adventure motorcycle segment’s market potential. KTM said the ‘250 Adventure’ offers a great start for those who want to enter the adventure biking space.

The bike is powered by a BS6 standard, 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine; the Duke 250 bike engine can produce a maximum of 30 bhp and 23 Nm of torque.

The transmission is a six-speed gearbox.

The ‘250 Adventure’ comes with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) from Bosch. The bike also features an off-road mode that can be activated via a button on the dashboard.

The ‘250 Adventure’ comes with an alloy wheel and a TFT display screen and a halogen headlight along with an LED daytime running lamp. However, the bike does not have Quick Shifter, Quick Cornering ABS, and traction control. The bike’s front suspension, which comes with a 200mm ground clearance, is a 170mm WP Apex Upside Down Fork with 17mm of torque. The pin-shock absorber also has 177 mm of torque. The KTM 250 Adventure also gets a TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, unlike the LCD unit on its streetfighter counterpart. As for features, we can expect the bike to get switchable ABS as standard. It will take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, as well as the BMW G 310 GS in the country.   The ‘250 Adventure’ has 320mm front, and 230mm rear Brembo disc brakes. The fuel tank storage capacity of the bike is 14.5 liters. The motorcycle boasts a 185 mm ground clearance and a 146 kg dry weight. We expect the latter to increase a few notches to accommodate the bigger catalytic convertor’s weight to meet the stricter BS-VI emission norms. Bajaj Auto President (Probiking) SumeetNarang claimed that the KTM 390 Adventure, launched earlier this year, was well received. He explained that this success gives him the confidence to launch ‘250 Adventure’. Narang said the KTM250 Adventure, which is based on the KTM390 Adventure platform, is a travel enduro motorcycle capable of attracting riders from all over the world.
