India Will Be The Third-Largest Economy In The Next Few Years: Country’s Union Minister 

In 2047, India will be the Vishwa Guru or global leader, and the next 25 years will be a period of transformation for the country,” according to Union Minister of State for External Affairs V.Muraleedharan. He was speaking at an interactive session at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Thursday (16-06-2022), as per a news article published by The Hindu. 

On the topic of ‘India’s Foreign Policy Success Story in PM Modi’s Era,‘ he said that India is now the world’s fifth-biggest economy and will be the third-largest in the next few years. 

He also said that individuals from India who had migrated to Reunion Island, a French territory, six generations earlier approached him and asked him to consider them to be of Indian ancestry. According to the guidelines, just four generations of history are used to determine whether or not a person is of Indian descent. 

According to the Minister, India’s neighbourhood policy has helped Sri Lanka to obtain funds, food supplies and fuel assistance. It has also aided Afghans in their time of need. Students also had some questions for the Minister and he answered those as well. 

The guest of honour was K.Annamalai, the head of the BJP’s state branch. The interactive event was presided over by S. Malarvizhi, chairwoman and managing trustee of Sri Krishna Institutions.
