Use Aarogya Setu App
Aarogya Setu app is a one-stop solution for all Covid-related things. Using the Aarogya Setu app, you can check updates, book slots, etc. The app also offers the option to download the vaccination certificate. If you want to go ahead with this process, you will first need to update your vaccination status on the app. When updated, the app will show your vaccination status like ‘fully vaccinated/ partially vaccinated’. Tap on it, and then you will be given the option to download the certificate. But to do this, you need internet connectivity.
Use WhatsApp
As this messaging app plays a significant role in our daily lives, you can consider using WhatsApp to carry your vaccination certificate. For that, first, download the certificate by sending ‘download certificate’ to 9013151515 on WhatsApp. Once you receive it, click on it to open. Then you can pin the MyGov chat at the top to access it whenever required.
Use Digilocker
The government’s initiative towards digitising documents and certificates, Digilocker app allows users to download and store the documents from a wide range of government services such as driving licenses, vaccination certificates, etc.
To store your vaccination certificate on Digilocker, first, download the app on your smartphone. Sign up for a new account if you are using this app for the first time. But if you already have an account, enter your login credentials. Once logged in, click on the search icon at the bottom right and type ‘Covid-19’. Choose ‘Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate’ from the search result and click on the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare option. Next, enter your beneficiary ID and tap on Get Document. Thus, Digilocker will fetch your vaccination certificate and store it locally on your smartphone through the app.
