Hop Onto Maharajas’ Express To Enjoy Insta-worthy Travel Moments

Maharajas’ Express, which is one of India’s bespoke luxury trains, has been listed for being the most Instagrammable and luxurious train across the globe by Paris-based travel and tour operator Club Med.

It has secured 14th place in the list of the most Instagrammable train journeys in the world because of its reviews on ticket prices and sights, along with social media rankings.

Maharajas’ Express is also placed 18th position in the world’s most luxurious trains list. It also received the first runner-up award in the Specialist Train Operators Category at Conde Nast Travelers Reader Choice Travel Award in 2011.

Owned and operated by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, the Maharajas’ Express is a luxury tourist train that runs on four routes, covering over 12 destinations across North-West and Central India, primarily centred on Rajasthan between October and April.

Aimed at providing travellers with a bespoke experience, the train was introduced in 2010. Maharajas’ Express houses 88 passengers comfortably. A one-week tour will take you to spellbinding places like the majestic fort at Jodhpur, the marble symmetry of Taj Mahal, the shimmering Lake City of Udaipur, the intricate sculptures of Khajuraho, the spiritual vibe of Varanasi, and more.

The trip would guarantee you a nostalgia-inducing space of the express. You can pick any cabin among the many luxurious cabin choices such as Deluxe, Junior Suite, Suite and Presidential Suite. All of the suites offer 24-hour valet service. Maharajas’ Express has two restaurant cars, Peacock and Haveli. Additionally, the luxurious train offers an exotic Safari Bar with a great collection of wines and spirits.

As it promises travellers to take them beyond the confines of the express, you would get sightseeing tours across cities with a similar type of comfort.

With four different journeys, Maharajas’ Express offers ‘Heritage of India’, ‘Treasures of India’, ‘The Indian Panorama’ and ‘The Indian Splendour’. However, looking at the present pandemic situation, the first 17 departures of the current season (2021-22) from October 3, 2021, to January 23, 2022, have been cancelled.
