The English singer and songwriter Zayn Malik has turned 29 today on January 12. Malik, who won an American Music Award and an MTV Video Music Award, among other honours, is the only musician to win the Billboard Music Award for New Artist of the Year twice, first as a member of One Direction and again as a solo artist in 2017.
Malik was born to an immigrant Pakistani Muslim father, Yaser Malik, and a White British mother of English and Irish descent, Trisha Malik, on January 12, 1993.
