Indian students in the UAE can attend Expo 2020 and gain work experience by working for the Indian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai through internship programmes.
The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), an Indian industrial body, has already started accepting applications from Indian students in the UAE aged between 16 and 25 years for a 14-day internship programme at the Consulate General of India, Dubai. It will be accepting applications till August 13. Interested students can apply through the ‘https://form.jotform.com/212223312694044’ website.
To apply for this internship opportunity, students must provide their basic details like their residency proof and educational qualifications and upload their resumes. Shortlisted candidates then will be called for an interview at the Indian Consulate on August 14.
After completing the two-week internship, all participating students will be given a certificate of appreciation to illustrate their experience on the resume. The Indian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will be the largest pavilion at the Expo and will remain as a legacy structure at the site.
The Indian pavilion is expected to present Indian innovation, enterprise, and a culture of business excellence in numerous sectors of the economy. The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of External Affairs is leading India’s participation at the Expo 2020, in association with Ficci.
With 25 million expected domestic and international visitors, the Expo 2020 will have participants of about one hundred and ninety-one countries with their pavilions. The Expo site is divided into three sectors: opportunity, mobility and sustainability. India’s pavilion falls into the sustainability sector and will have lots of exciting projects to showcase.
Expo 2020 Dubai, a world fair, will be conducted for six months starting from October.
