BMW has unveiled its all-electric iX car in India. The model debuted in the global markets in June this year with a sporty and eye-catching design, a futuristic cabin, and four charging options. In India, it is offered in a single xDrive40 trim, while the range-topping xDrive50 model is unlikely to be offered here.
“A living space on wheels. Designed for utmost comfort, the purpose-built interiors of the #BMWiX combine intelligent functions and intuitive technologies to create a playground for the senses. The future of mobility is #ComingSoon,” BMW India announced.
The carmaker has confirmed pre-bookings at its dealerships across the country have started.
The powertrain would churn out 322 bhp and 630 Nm of peak torque and would propel the SUV from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds. According to reports, the claimed range as per the WLTP cycle is 425 km and a 150 kW DC fast charger would give a range of over 95 km in 10 mins. BMW has also said that the more powerful iX xDrive50 variant has not yet been confirmed for India, but neither has it been ruled out for our market.
“The exterior is monolithic. Every detail is designed to blend in with the sculpture” The clean and streamlined design of the first all-electric #BMWiX not only makes it look revolutionary, but also gives it unprecedented performance,” BMW India added.
