Audi e-tron SUV And e-tron Sportback Pre-bookings Start In India

Audi India has started pre-bookings for the upcoming e-Tron and e-Tron Sportback electric SUVs at an initial token amount of Rs 5 lakh. The Audi would launch the brand new Audi e-tron in India on July 22.  

The Audi e-Tron combines the comfort of a luxury vehicle suited for daily use. The Audi e-Tron Sportback offers everyday utility and a distinct road presence through its Sportback silhouette, being a tough competitor to Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace in the segment.

The Audi e-tron is the first fully produced electric model from the brand with the four rings which comes with some signature Audi design cues like the octagonal-design single-frame grille with vertical struts presented in platinum grey, Matrix LED headlights, besides the flanks, to the rear lights and keeping the Audi e-Tron a low visual centre of gravity.

The rear profile gets wraparound LED taillights connected end-to-end. The bumper also gets the dual-tone treatment that extends up to the alloy wheels. The interior of the e-Tron is loaded with features such as a 10.1-inch infotainment system, a 12.3-inch instrument panel, an 8.6-inch MMI-touch response display, four-zone climate control, and ambient lighting. The panoramic glass sunroof keeps the interior lighter and intensifies the impression of airiness and space.   

With 4,901mmx1,935mmx1,616mm dimensions and 2,928mm long wheelbase, the e-Tron has ample space for five occupants along with their bags. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 660-litre that is expandable up to 1,725 litres, with the rear seatbacks folded down.

The Audi e-Tron SUV draws power from two electric motors that develop 265 kW or 355 bhp and 561 Nm of peak torque with an expansion of up to 300 kW or 408 bhp 664 Nm in the boost mode. While the e-Tron sprints 0-100 kmph in 6.6 seconds, in turn clocking a top speed of 200 kmph, the e-Tron Sportback does the same stint but in 5.7 seconds. Audi claims a range of 452 km on a single charge from the 95 kWh battery pack. It takes up to eight and a half hours to be fully charged if a regular charger is used. The new Audi e-Tron and the Sportback also have progressive steering and adaptive air suspension as standard.
