Audi e-Tron GT Electric Launches In India At Rs 1.8 Crore

After launching the e-Tron SUV earlier this year in India, Audi India, on September 22, launched e-Tron GT and e-Tron GT RS, priced at Rs 1.8 crore and Rs 2.05 crore respectively. The Audi e-Tron GT debuted globally in February this year.

The fully electric SUVs are powered by two electric motors that produce 469bhp and 630Nm of torque in the S variant and 590bhp and 830Nm of torque for the RS variant. With four-wheel steering and 19-inch wheels, both variants make a comeback with a range of 500kms and 481kms, respectively, with a full charge, according to the WLTP cycle. The SUV measures 4989 mm x 1964 mm x1418 mm, and the wheelbase stands at 2903 mm.

Audi laser light is available for both models; the RS variant gets Matrix LED headlights as standard. In addition, its exterior gets dual-tone bumpers, a sloping roof-line, an active rear spoiler with two modes: Eco and Dynamic, and an LED light bar at the rear.

The German automaker has given the Audi e-Tron GT a well-packed 5-seater cabin featuring a large 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit console and 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen display as standard. At the same time, the S variant comes with a classic Gran Turismo as front seats are installed in a sporty low position separated by a wide centre console. The system is natural voice command, and Audi Connect services are supported. Its MMI navigation plus comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot as standard, offering intelligent navigation with e-Tron specific functions. The RS model includes additional bits like contrast red stitching, leather upholstery, carbon fibre inserts, sport seats, and an Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel.

The e-Tron GT also gets custom software called Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) that offers unique exhaust sounds to amplify its sports car character further. The software generates separate exterior and interior sounds using the loudspeakers positioned on both sides.

The new Audi e-Tron GT electric four-door coupe comes to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
