2021 Toyota Fortuner launched in India: Price starts from Rs 29.98 lakh

The updated version of the premium SUV Toyota Fortuner has been launched in India. It is available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive modes in the petrol and diesel engine. The car is priced between Rs 29.98 lakh and Rs 37.58 lakh. The bookings of the vehicle have started, and the delivery will begin in the coming weeks. 

The daytime running lamps, projector LED headlamp, new grille and refurbished bumper with deep insert are the main changes from the new Fortuner’s front. The rear bumper and tail lamps are also polished. 

When coming to the cabin, it consists of an 8-way power-adjustable front seat, a new instrumentation panel with a 4.2 inch MID, a newly updated 8-inch touch infotainment system and a multi-function steering wheel with audio and voice controls. The car is equipped with an 11- speaker JBL system. The vehicle also connected features such as geo-fencing, SOS, locating in a parking lot, and much more.

Another part of this update is that FortunerLegender arrives as the flagship variant in the Fortuner range. It features dual color alloy wheels, ‘L’ shaped inserts and contrasting synthetic diffusers. The interior is a combination of black and maroon. It will also have a nine-inch touch screen, a 360-degree camera and wireless charging. The FortunerLegender is now available only in 4×2 powertrain and automatic transmission mode. It is available in pearl white colour with a black roof(dual tone).

The 4×2 petrol manual is priced at Rs 29.98 lakh, the 4×2 petrol automatic is priced at Rs 31.57 lakh, the 4×2 diesel manual is priced at Rs 32.48 lakh and the 4×2 diesel automatic is priced at Rs 34.84 lakh. The 4×4 diesel manual is priced at Rs 35.14 lakh, the 4×4 diesel automatic is priced at Rs 37.43 lakh and the 4×2 Legendary version is priced at Rs 37.58 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The new Fortuner will be available in Phantom Brown, Super White, Attitude Black, Avant-Garde Bronze, Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic, Pearl White Crystal Shine and Sparkling Black Crystal Shine.  The Fortuner comes with a 2.8 liter, four-cylinder diesel engine with 6-speed automatic transmission and 6-speed manual transmission with Intelligent Manual Transmission. It produces 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The 2.7-liter petrol engine also has a 6-speed automatic transmission and 5-speed manual transmission. It produces 164 bhp power and 245Nm of torque. Toyota Fortuner competes with Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas G4 and MG Gloster in this segment.
