Ganesh Chaturthi 2021 In Pictures: A Visit To Ganesh Nagar Chowk, CR Park In Delhi

Ganesh Chaturthi, popularly known as Ganesh Utsav and Vinayak Chaturthi, is celebrated on Friday, 10 September 2021. As per the Hindu calendar, the festival is celebrated during Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month. The festival mostly falls in the month of August-September 2021.  

It is believed that Lord Ganesha arrived on earth on this day from Kailash. Lord Ganesha is celebrated as the ‘God of New Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence.  

Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Telangana, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh see splendid Ganesha Chathurthi celebrations. Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh also celebrate the festival. However, in recent years, Bengal has also been celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi.  

While many celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi, NRI Vision has visited the CR Park and Ganesh Nagar Chowk in Delhi to meet idol vendors. They said that the Covid-19 pandemic was a massive blow to them, especially in this festive season.
