Exclusive Benefits Await Abu Dhabi Golden Visa Holders

The Abu Dhabi Residents Office (ADRO) outlined several benefits, on 3 March 2022, that holders of the Abu Dhabi Golden Visa will receive within the emirate.

The ADRO is a division launched by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), in 2021. There have been several initiatives to attract talent to the emirate via golden visas.

These include exclusive offers on cars, flexible local and international insurance plans, hospitality discounts and hospitality bundles, exclusive discounts on select real estate projects, and dedicated customer service for real estate inquiries, as well as special facilities for opening bank accounts.

This came as the ADRO signed agreements with several leading brands and institutions in automotive, real estate, healthcare, hospitality, health insurance and banking.

Abu Dhabi’s Golden Visa offers long-term residence to talented individuals in many fields, for five or ten years.

Holders of the visa will also be able to access competitive savings rates as well as special offers for investors.

The aim is to help accelerate the assimilation of golden visa holders into Abu Dhabi’s business community and further incentivize investment in the emirate’s economic development.

In August 2021, the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) and the ADRO launched new packages to enable doctors to apply for the Golden Visa in Abu Dhabi. The visa grants doctors and their families ten years of residency rights in the country to live, work and study without the requirement of a national sponsor.

This VIP package costs Dhs4,000 per applicant and covers services including Emirates ID, passport pickup and drop-off, and visa hold services for dependents.

“We’re taking all the necessary measures to ensure our vital sectors have an uninterrupted supply of world-class talent,” the office’s acting executive director Hareb Al Mheiri said on Thursday.

“We have a responsibility to support golden visa holders with the services and benefits that would facilitate a comfortable life in Abu Dhabi and contribute to the success of their businesses and investments.”

Earlier in July 2021, the ADRO picked Hub71 in Abu Dhabi to endorse exceptional tech talent for their Entrepreneur Golden Visa from Abu Dhabi.

Hub71 is a global ecosystem located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, offering an interconnected network to enable innovation and growth opportunities for transformational tech companies and start-ups.

Hub71 plans to review applications from entrepreneurs operating across several technology sectors including fintech, health tech, edtech, e-commerce, AI and big data.

To be eligible, entrepreneurs must own a successful project in the UAE with a minimum valuation of Dhs500,000.

Also, authorities from Masdar City Free Zone in Abu Dhabi said in October 2021 that the Freezone is facilitating the process and submitting golden visas for all eligible candidates and their families.

State news agency WAM added that in collaboration with ADRO, Masdar City Free Zone is working to promote the golden visa to eligible candidates under the qualifying sectors including, investors, entrepreneurs, specialized talents, researchers in various fields of science, and knowledge, and students with promising scientific capabilities.

ADRO has also announced a list of premium destinations that include offers on stay, dining, spa treatments, gyms and other facilities.

On the health insurance front, Golden Visa holders will enjoy reduced premiums on annual health insurance plans for families and individuals, with diverse network coverage and a bundle of benefits inside and outside the UAE.
