Visa is an official document that allows the individual to enter the relevant country and visit the same for a specified period. A visa can be attached to the passport or nowadays it can be linked digitally.
Few countries offer visas on arrival to the individuals who hold Indian passports while some countries require an e-Visa, an invitation letter to enter the desired country.
Visa on arrival is not like traditional visas, for which you have to apply before you leave your home country. A visa on arrival is a visa that is issued, right then and there, when a foreign national lands in the country. All the necessary documents should be carried along to be submitted at the airport for the possession of the visa on arrival.
If the individual is eligible to get a visa on arrival he does not need to physically visit any Visa Application Center or any Embassy. He can apply online and pay the required fees. However, a printout must be taken of the visa approval.
After reaching the desired country, the printout of the approved visa and passport must be submitted for verification at the concerned counter while entering the country and then the visa gets stamped with the visa sticker/stamp.
There are almost 59 countries, where Indians can travel without having a prior visa. A few of these do not ask for visas from Indian tourists at all, while some of them allot visas on arrival.
